SooSL
SooSL is software for developing and publishing sign language dictionaries.
SooSL consists of two programs. SooSL Desktop (Windows, Mac, Debian Linux) is used for creating sign language dictionaries, available for download at https://soosl.net. SooSL Web is an integrated platform at https:/web.soosl.net for publishing dictionaries developed in SooSL Desktop. Both are free to use.
Both programs use video for representing signs, example sentences and comments. SooSL dictionaries can be searched based on handshape, location, and other parameters, or by written language gloss (in any number of languages) with filtering by dialect. Both are easy to learn and use, even for people who have limited command of a written language, by making heavy use of icons in the interface. They are especially appropriate for collaborative community and educational projects. Within the context of a Bible translation program, they can be used by translation teams for keeping track of key terms and for publishing a Bible dictionary as a supplement to translated Scripture.
